Remembering the Legacy of

John "LJ" Hackney Jr. and Wild Wunz Radio DePaul

Pain2Purpose NFP proudly honors the life and legacy of John “LJ” Hackney Jr.—a visionary, creator, and mentor whose passion for uplifting others continues to inspire everything we do.

While attending DePaul University, LJ founded Wild Wunz Underground Radio, a bold platform dedicated to giving emerging voices a space to be heard. More than just a student-run station, Wild Wunz became a community—a place where aspiring artists could express themselves freely, connect with others, and build confidence in their creative journeys.

LJ was known not only for his talent as an artist but also for his generosity and willingness to guide others. He spent countless hours helping beginners shape their first tracks, offering feedback, encouragement, and technical support to those just finding their voice in music and media. He had a unique gift for seeing potential in others and made it his mission to help them realize it.

His passion for life, music, and service to others lives on through the work of Pain2Purpose NFP. What began as a tribute to his spirit has grown into a movement that empowers individuals to turn pain into purpose—just as LJ always did. Through our programs and outreach, we aim to carry forward his legacy of creativity, compassion, and community-building.

John “LJ” Hackney Jr.’s light continues to shine through every life touched by Pain2Purpose.

Commemorating the Legacy of

DJ Satile

In loving memory of my husband, Lionel Worthy—known to many as DJ Satile—I honor the legacy of a man whose creativity, compassion, and unwavering support transformed not only my life but the lives of countless others. Lionel was more than a gifted artist; he was a visionary who used his music to uplift and inspire. His unique fusion of hip-hop, soul, and electronic beats resonated deeply, earning him recognition in Chicago’s vibrant music scene and beyond. His tracks, including “Asylum” and “Chicago Footwork,” continue to echo his passion and artistry.

But Lionel’s impact extended far beyond his music. He was instrumental in building Pain2Purpose NFP from the ground up, offering his talents to help design our logo and shape our mission. His belief in turning pain into purpose wasn’t just a mantra—it was how he lived. Through every challenge, he stood beside me, reminding me of our shared vision to empower women and survivors of trauma. Lionel’s spirit lives on in every care bag we deliver, every workshop we host, and every life we touch. Though he is no longer physically with us, his love, creativity, and purpose continue to guide our journey.
